New Family Photo, by Wink Photography

We did it! Family photos. Emily Clark took them. Well, let me start over. My brother Mark passed away recently and we held a Fun Run to celebrate him. Many people gave to the cause with money and prizes for Mark's Family and the Fun Run. My son won (in the raffle) a Photography package worth $500.00. This is where Emily comes in. She was so sweet to donate this and was so gracious about scheduling (family in town, etc) issues and stuff. We e-mailed back and forth and set a day and time for the shoot. I took some pictures of the fall leaves because my sis Jackie asked me to. She lives in a far off land and they do not have seasons (poor thing living in a tropical paradise). She said she misses the fall colors so being the "wanna be" photographer I am, I shot some pic's. I was pretty disapointed because I didn't think they were worth posting. Then I applied a few tricks in Photo-shop and walaa... this is what I came up with. Impressed? Not. LOL

Brixton 6 months, he pulls the cutest faces. We are visiting in Twenty-nine Palms this weekend. I think he is blind for a week after I visit, LOL too many flash bulbs!

First Hair Cut!

I invited Mike on a Lava Hot Springs get away........And did we ever get away!
It felt like we went to another country or into a haunted movie set......
The hot tubs look really great in this photo, sometimes pictures look better than the real thing. Did you know that? Kinda like the online photo's looked better than the real thing.

It was really fun to have the skeleton keys to open the door to our room but if you have ever seen how a skeleton key works they are skin and bones. We had to lock the door when we left and when we came inside. If we would have been in a huge hurry, we could have just leaned against the door and popped it open. We had an old style window/vent above the door with real cobwebs. We had a jacuzzi tub and a toilet in our room....I mean in our room, but the people across the hall shared a bathroom with the rest of the people across and down the hall.
Don't get me wrong, we did have a great time.
We ate at a restaurant down the road and played Bingo (while we ate). I won the first Bingo and they handed me $7.00. Then I won the next Bingo and they handed me $11.oo. That was fun. I won a total of 3 Bingo's which paid for playing Bingo. They donate the money back to the community and do a lot of great things.

Next time I think Little America sounds great! But if you would like to stay in an old converted haunted hospital..........Stay here.

Brix 4 months

Isn't he just the cutest little thing! I had to place him next to the doll again so he can tell people he used to be that small and he didn't even scream this time. I still don't think he likes her.

Saturday, August 1st at the Benjamin Park, 7300 South 3200 West, Spanish Fork. At 8:00 am.

Still sad..............Can't put my feelings into words.

My Little Brother Mark passed away today. Very sad day.

The last real conversation I had with Mark was after my nephew's baptism. Mark gave a talk about baptism. It was so interesting to me. I told him he explained it all so well. He went from start to finish explaining how certain ordinances were restored to the earth. He had a way with words and a great understanding of the church. I will miss him.....until we meet again.
